An enjoyable afternoon lounging and reading the paper at The Brain, complete with a kick ass cheese plate.
Beau's-Kissmeyer Venskab. Easily the best Canadian made beer I've had this year and a top 10 for the year overall. Instead of being muddled, the complexity from cane sugar, yuzu fruit, ice wine soaked oak chips and aging in white wine barrels is completely complimentary.
Barely Days Royal George. A decent enough brown ale. A little too sweet to be sessionable, but nice.

Quite an afternoon ! Had 38 samples (split with Bearing and capped it off with 2 KBS samples). So now we're back at Ashley's in A2 again drinking Kuhnhenn Fluffer and Odd Side Simcoe senstion to refresh us.
Bearing and I are the first to support the hell out of Ontario beer but Michigan sets a very high bar. A mind boggling selection at one of the best run beer festivals I have ever attended!
Michigan ROCKS!

Luckily the border was only a 1min wait on the way back - not sure if I could have survived another brutal wait!electroluminescent wrote:Mikkeller Ov'Rall

With Cale at Pizza Plant, now waiting for the plane to Chicago!
I had the Ithaca 14 and a pint of 2XIPA at Pizza Plant. Then made a quick beer stop at Premier to tide us over until next Sat:
De Molen - Bommen & Granaten (they also had Hemel & Aarde)
Great Divide - Rumble
Mikkeller - Koppi IPA
Mikkeller - I Hardcore You
Clown Shoes - Hoppy Feet (finally found a fresh bottling from these guys)
SN - Bigfoot 2012
SN - Southern Hemisphere Harvest
Oskar Blues - G'Knight
DFH - Palo Santo Marron
Must have went at a good time because I finally had little issue finding a variety of IPAs from June/July. Unfortunately the Mikkeller's will be a gamble but the GF really wanted them.

I went to The Ship last night, and I had an array of ales and or lagers. Being one that doesn't like a "heavy" ale, I decided to go with Golden Beach and was not disappointed.
Then, being one who does not like "crisp" lagers, I decided to go against the grain, and drink a few RPAs. What a great beer.
Then I went to Bronzie's for great italian food! mmmmmmmmmmm

Last night at The Woolwich Arrow and Baker Street Station:
Church Key West Coast Pale Ale (draught)
Mill Street Cobblestone Stout (draught)
Sawdust City Golden Beach Pale Wheat (draught)
Mill Street Brown Ale (draught)
Spearhead Hawaiian Style Pale Ale (draught)
Gotta say, between these two bars, Borealis, Wellington, and F&M, Guelph has a good little beer scene!
Today at home:
Fuller's London Porter

Pretty good for a Thursday in the Hammer.
I was up in parry sound at the cottage for the weekend and had red racer, naughty neighbor, Nickel brook peasants saison wit and some spearhead. And a couple of fingers of Macallans 12-year-old after getting back from fishing on Saturday evening. Caught a decent small mouth bass on my first cast, but that was it for the trip.
