'tis a cultural mecca... frankly its hard to stay away.

Finally got to try this new Schneider and I like it! A bit heavy for a hefe, but a welcome spring brew.

I'd agree with you, Belgian. I had a bottle of 120 at beerbistro last week, so presumably the same vintage as yours. It reminded me of a good barley wine. Personally, i think the line between a double IPA and a barley wine can be a bit blurry sometimes, especially when the double IPA is A: sweet to begin with and B: has some age on it, and the hops start to fade away.

Though American barleywines as a style can be mega-hopped in the first place, along the lines of Bigfoot. That's when the line becomes really blurred.

It really is great. I've had a number of these now and they are replacing my 3 or 4 aventinus on nights when work just isn't great!

Just opened a Stone Cali-Belgique IPA. It's decent, but why not just buy the IPA?

Who better to drink a beer called Belgique than Belgian himself? :)

I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.

Just got a bottle of the Flora Rustica and Gose from Vancouver, what did you think of the ones you drank from Upright?

Earlier I was enjoying a Creemore Springs Kellerbier nouveau. My understanding is, it is being packaged tomorrow. Been looking forward to this for sometime.
