I tried the No Name Beer last night. it's actually a decent little Euro Lager. My LCBO sold 100 cases in no time.

Muskoka Black Raspberry Thunder Milkshake IPA is similar to the Kawarthas ice cream that it is named after. It has a strong vanilla and black raspberry component, tasting like the ice cream. However, for an IPA I would like it to be hoppier.

Omnipollo Nebuchadnezzar on takeaway from Cerveteca Lisboa in Portugal. Very good and on par with the other beers I’ve had from this brewery.

Bellwoods Farmageddon with Montmorency and Morello Cherries.

Possibly the Burgundy of Ontario beers, in the look and dryness and the cherry-ness.

Sour ales like this are special, and the fruit shines best while taking time to sip and savor the bottle. From the brewery store.

All these Cherry Farmagedons appear miscategorized on ratebeer. They are probably Sours, not Saisons or Fruit Beers since the latter two do not describe defining characteristics. Would you really call Cascade Apricot a Fruit Beer, or a Saison?

This is quite good. It's certainly not the 'exotic' version from Hanlon's 2006-2009 (?) vintages we saw here, its less harsh and challenging as a fresh bottle, and much smoother around the edges and easier to drink without several years in the cellar.

The 'pedigree name' aside this is an impressive ale. I'm betting the cellar ageing this version will yield an even more mellow delicate profile. I think this will sell well.

Godspeed Světlý Ležák (12°)- cans from the brewpub store.

This is a 'premium lager' in the tradition of the original Budvar from Ceske Budejovice, but it s all Bim in the execution. You may want to grab a handful, it's 3.25 a can.
... Nose has nuances of field, florals and honey along with the yeasty bread - very smooth too. Taste is nicely full and bready with a good lager malt cereal crispness and a firm but not unpleasant or metallic hop profile - clean and dry as all heck, with background notes of honey and herbaceous florals. Long notes of dryness in overall profile, while the breadyness remains satisfying. As it warms there's just a hint of cereal wet hay...

Last couple of nights:
Barncat Battle Jacket iipa-it’s a barncat haze bomb...top notch, ‘buff said.
Rhythm and Brews Bandwagon ipa-probably the best hoppy beer I’ve had from these guys. Big time ganja notes in this.
Rhythm and Brews Festbock-not a fan of this, much too seeet for me, and seemed unbalanced. I struggled to finish the bottle.
Rhythm and Brews Bandan Thank You Ma’am white stout with coffee, and coconut-hands down the best beer I’ve had from this brewery. I’ve never actually had a white stout before, but based on this...it lets the adjuncts shine through more. The coconut flavour is definitely prevelant and the coffee is really nice as well. I’d take this over Bellwoods Bounty Hunter anyday.
