Alley Kat Plaid Dragon - one of the more balanced in the Dragon Series, up there with Red & Orange

Alley Kat McDougall Export Scotch Ale aged in whisky barrels - No mention of the whisky barrels used, but definitely of the Islay sort. Smoky, peaty, woody, earthy, and at only 5.5%, well integrated.

Drowning some sorrows regarding my failed attempt at Potato Pavé with a can of Mad Tom.

We might have a FW tasting coming up, a 16, Parabola, Sucaba!
Today, had a 961 Lebanese Pale - the spice on this one was intriguing! A Meantime London Porter, a Nickel Brook Root Beer with the kids for the first 2 periods of the game and I'm going to open a He'Brew Genesis.

Some brews while watching Montreal do nothing against Toronto. Arg.

-Black Creek Wintet Warmer. Cardamom and molasses combine to form somethingoddly medicinal, yet pleasing.
-GLB Apocalpse Later. Love GLB but this was a dissapointment. Too sweet and not roasty enough to be a top notch black IPA. The hops could be great but get lost. Maybe a style not well suited to imperial treatment. Have a bottle of Puzzler I haven't cracked yet. Maybe that will blow me away.
-Nickel Brook Reserve d'Hiver. An oddly nutty spiced belgian ale. I kind of dig.

cigar city guava grove saison. 3$ for a 750ml bottle at total wine because it's out of season. They had St Bernardus xmas and Delirium Xmas 750's for 5$ as well. I even saw Corsedonk Xmas gift 6-packs (with a glass) for 5.99. Crazy.

If I lived in the states I would have an amazing beer cellar..

Les Trois Mousquetaires Porter Baltique. From last year's LCBO rlease. Tasting great, happy I didn't return any bottles.

Was thinking about opening one of these guys up on the weekend but didn't get a chance. Good to hear it's still drinking nicely.

Yesterday at lunch/breakfast @ the Ceili - GLB/Ceili Oyster Stout on cask - really nice and smooth and roasty and sweet - almost like a milk stout. Oysters are more prominent in this batch. Doesn't last long normally so go get it!

Also - can't think of a brewer that puts a dry stout on cask in this city.

while watching the leafs last night - barrel aged deviator (originally 341ml version - I like this one better than the newer bomber one.)
