Black Katt is sometimes available on cask - definitely a dry stout.

Currently sampling a blend of Fuller's Porter, aged Yeti Belgian Imperial Stout and Gubna double IPA. The hops from the Gubna definitely gives a lift to the porter blend and its additional malt fits in well. A three threads of today (a "stale" stout, a fresh sweet porter and a strong pale ale).

(Had a few ounces one day and left the rest for another. It was as good after but had lost carbonation. A splash of Appolinaris, and, presto).

Black Oak Nutcracker Porter (draught)

After Monster Jam* @ The Roger's Centre:

LTM Baltique Porter - not the whole bottle though. Hoping my stopper keeps some of the carb in for tomorrow. It gets chocolatier every time I try it.

(*For those raising an eyebrow - it was quite a bit of fun, especially for the boys! It's all totally for kids. Plus - Can't remember when I've seen the Dome that packed - early 90s maybe? If you ever go, bring ear plugs!)

It's funny - I did think about the O'Keefe which is one of the best, IMHO. Didn't know about Black Katt though - only ever thought it was on Nitro. Mind you, what beer does Durham do that they DON'T put on cask...Stand corrected on both accounts.

I took my son to that a few times, he`s 7 now, we`re probably going to see the Hamilton one at Copps in April, good fun, and yes, headphones or earplugs recommended!

Hmm...well Starfish and The Ceili Are both owned by Patrick McMurray - sure the Oyster Stout isn't from GLB.

Could be now, I suppose. But when I lived in Toronto (3 years ago), it was a Durham brew.

Cantillon Bio
3 Font Golden Blend - cork popped right off as soon as the cage came undone.

Today:

Fuller 2008 Vintage ale - wow this held up really well. Very tasty
