Oh yes, all of the BA beers were excellent; the Vanilla Rye in particular was outstanding - my goodness that beer was phenomenal in every way.

And now today with my wife's family at the house of her uncle who got me into craft beer:

Innocente Until Proven Guilty
Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw (2014)
Great Lakes Lake Effect IPA
Sam Adams Utopias 2012 - 10th Anniversary Edition
Brooklyn Black Ops (2014)

Her uncle also gave me a 4-pack that consisted of a BOYD, Life Sentence, Imperial Bout, and Innocente Southern Justice. It was definitely a good Christmas beer-wise!

Sounds exceptional. Should have gotten the Vanilla Rye by the sounds of it! Speaking of your Bellwoods I have a BOYD + Skeleton Key + Lambda in the queue.

Have a few 2013 Blau on hand too. Just put one of the Feb 2013 BA Double Tempest in the chiller.

i was given a sample of Pitschfork Pitch Perfect Pilsner.
bottle, not draught. so perhaps there's a difference.

but it was hands down, THE WORST beer i've had in 2015.
the flavour of overstressed yeast, a horrible nose, a solventy palate to it, and too much diacetyl.

i feel bad for slamming a start-up and perhaps something happened when it was bottled vs what it tastes like on draught, but i had 2 oz of it and it would take a $20 wager for me to finish that.

Yep, not proud of it....but it happened. That moment when your visiting family on Xmas day and it's a choice between bud light or sommersby

Somersby is better, or rather less worse, than Bud Light, as long as it's the Somersby apple cider. If it's the blackcurrant, or whatever it is, then it's a toss up.

BTW Somersby is huge with Finns who travel to Estonia. Two weeks ago I noticed literally dozens of passengers on the Tallinn to Helsinki ferry with case after case of various Somersby ciders. It must be a lot cheaper there than in Finland. You'd think it being made in high wage Denmark it would be difficult to sell it so much cheaper in Estonia as to justify transporting it by the caseload to Finland but I guess Finnish taxes on alcohol must make it worthwhile. It's a shame Finns can't find anything in Estonia better than Somersby to bring back with them.

There is at least one positive thing I can say about Bud Light. It makes Coors Light seem like a good beer.

I don't think I've had a Sommersby.
