Hold on there ... Alesmith is in Buffalo now????????
They had plenty of it at Village Beer, but just the Yulesmith. I remember hearing about Buffalo getting old stock of this beer years ago but this is definitely from this years release. Also managed to snag a growler of 10th Anniv. Ruination at VB.

Mike - Can't comment on Elysian as I've only had the one brew, but I certainly recommend that one.

Thanks Cale. I read in a BA thread that Buffalo got just the Summer Yulesmith. We can only hope that leads to more (like Speedway).

Tonight in Manhattan

Great divide Hoss on draught at momofuku

10th anniversary ruination on draught and Lagunitas imperial stout on cask at the pony bar.

And a bomber of ballast point sculpin waiting for me in my hotel room.

Last night at Piper's Pub and Smokin' Joes:

Fat Heads Gudenhoppy Pils (draught)
Elysian IPA (draught)
Terrapin Side Project Phlux Capacitor (draught)

Off to Primanti Brothers and 1 For The Road then heading back home. Had an awesome time in Pittsburgh!

All good my friend. Couldn't find the stout but the IPA was excellent!

Stone Ruination 10th Anniversary! Shared a growler with Len and Cale and their better halfs at Len's this afternoon. Awesome score, thanks Cale! My red racer just doesn't quite taste the same now...

Edit: and those others that Cale mentioned.

Anchor Steam draft in SF. It has a definite German hop accent IMO, the mineral side of the taste and a touch of clove. This isn't new, I got a similar profile on the last trip a few years ago (and before that too).

I don't get any American hopping in it although there may be.

Very tasty, it reminds me of a good alt beer. The bottled one is good but doesn't really deliver the taste of the fresh draft.

Growler of Troegs Perpetual IPA
multiple cans of Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale and Deviant Dale's IPA
lots of gin and random "kitchen sink" drinks.
