For one of the coldest nights in the year - Last year's solstice d'hiver. This beer's better with a bit of age on it. Still a little rough but the malts are coming together more. Starting to remind me a little of Thomas Hardy. Considering that it was brewed in July 2011, still quite hoppy.

American brown ale at bellwoods. Only one they seem to have run out of bottles on.

I made it to the Rhino last night for the first time. Had a fantastic pint of cask Smashbomb. It was so good I picked up six more bottles on my way home.

i think that cask was the double-dry hopped smashbomb, and yeah - it's pretty good.

First beer in Columbus, OH:
A fresh Bell's HopSlam that's completely shredding my palate to pieces. Hope I can taste whatever comes after this!

Does it smell like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree?

Just back from Streets house with boney, Cale and Mel:

Image

Had a
Firestone Walker Sucaba
Kissmeyer Red IPA
Firestone Walker Parabola
Firestone Walker XVI
Russian River Consecration
and having a Garrison Grand Baltic Porter at home, first Firestones I ever had, the Sucaba and Parabola were incredible but the layers in the XVI blew me away. Not many beers come with a sheet detailing the percentages of beers used in the blend. I`m sure there were a few more had after I had to duck out, thanks for some awesome beers!
