for the ottawa people, marche omni now carries hopfenstark and le castor beers. They had at least 4 varieties of each.
I guess that the reports of Omni's demise were greatly exaggerated. I'm currently on parental leave so I haven't been by there in a month. Glad to see there is still good beer there even if the "beer guy" owner was bought out.

THREE days finishing the He'Brew JewBellation Sweet 16, it is a fantastic strong beer with a lot of value packed in all those 16 malts + 16 hops. Really nice brew, he is.

Witchshark bottle. Tasty, but much better on tap.

Agreed. Bitterness is overbearing in bottles.

At The Only last night:
Aporkalypse Now
Bogfather
Black Oak Redeem Me - this did not work for me. Tasted like a watery pint of tea.
Long, Dark Voyage to Uranus
Despite being an east ender I don't get to The Only nearly enough. It has such a great vibe and the people working were the nicest. Broke my heart to leave.

Not to mention a killer draught list. I'm always impressed with the style and weight variation, they usually have a few rarities I haven't heard of, and the prices are fair ($13 tax in for a 20oz pint and generous glass of vino). I also like how they post the ABVs on the tap handles. Pair that with some Greek takeout and you've got one of the best pub experiences in T.O.
