Last night at Bar Hop:
Stone Arrogant Bastard Ale x 2 (draft)

Drinking bright and fresh with a massive piney, resinous, and grapefruity hop character and a bold, tongue-scraping bitterness that's barely balanced by some dark fruit, caramel, and lightly jammy flavours. Definitely nothing comparable to this locally, though Jump The Shark was a decent take on an ASA. Very happy to see this available in Ontario.

At beerbistro:

Stone Arrogant Bastard with the Seared Cod (turns out to be a $30 appetizer more than an actual so-called plate, unfortunately...)

Stillwater Saison with Pulled Pork Primanti sandwich (heck of a nice $15 meal and fantastic beer I would not want to miss.)

Karma Citra drinking extremely well. ^ Out of Stone IPA this time. People are drinking that stuff like crazy it seems.

A quick 'safety meeting' at work last night, and tried my fellow cork dorks on the following beers:

Hofstettner Grantbock 2011

Harviestoun Orach Slie

Deschutes The Dissident 2014

2 of our suppliers supply the barrels for both the Harviestoun & Deschutes beer, so that was a nice little link to get the cork dorks to try beers they normally wouldn't entertain.

The Granitbock was the overall 'best' by the wine crowd, with The Dissident splitting them 50/50.

Stone IPA (at Against The Grain), first rate, and then bought Centurion from Highlander Brew Co. from the Beer Store adjacent. Very good, with a marked European lager note accented with spruce tips harvested near the brewery. Very fresh and worth buying 6.
