It's cider, but made from pears instead of apples. It's very refreshing.

Erdinger Weissbier.

I was driving by the new LCBO here in Cambridge, a massive one, fifth largest in Ontario I believe, and because I was planning on having some bratwurst for lunch, I decided that I needed a heffe to go with it. But the beer selection sucks. HUGE! Even though I know several people have complained, it is very obvious that they don't care. The Erdinger was the ONLY heffe in the entire store. Losers.

This rant is over, thanks for listening.

Shared some beauties last night with a few other folks over at Viggo's place:

Growler of Half Acres Daisy Cutter
Growler of Kuhnhenn Simcoe Silly
Goose Island Night Stalker
Garrison Black IPA
Three Floyd's Dark Lord (2010)
New Glarus Iced Barleywine
McNeill's Warlord IIPA
Biergotter Quad

The Daisy Cutter smelled so strongly of weed it was unbelievable!

Had a Kozel, earlier when I got home, and now just finished a Schneider Wiesen Edel-Weisse. After a very long day on the road, I am now ready for a nap.

Phillips The Hammer
Omeggang Chocolate Indulgence
Half Pints $ellout $tout
Dogfish Head Immort Ale

Chocolate Indulgence was indeed a fantastic beer, love the dry cocoa powder feel. The Hammer had been aged a year and was the worse for it, drink that one FRESH! $ellout was... odd. Not bad but not great.

That turned out really tasty! Not as spritzy as commercial ones, more cask-like.

Flying Monk
60 min
Dead Jumbo
10 Bitter Ones
Garrison IIPA

NB: the Garrison wasn't nearly as bitter as I previously remembered. Perhaps my taste buds were fried at the end of this sess.
