esprit wrote:wow...that rabbit guy was a real a-hole...DFH60 has so much pent-up demand that I imagine the larger stores will stock up with large quantities up front and that there will be little back-up stock left. We are actively talking with both the LCBO and DFH about scheduling the next order but that certainly won't arrive here before mid-October so we could have stock outs in smaller stores who only took a few cases.
You just can't buy this kind of marketing! Maybe you can throw in some losers from an iphone lineup to get even more chatter. :P

hey toronto blue..LCBO apologist....
so because it is a big operation, it is fine to let beer languish in a warehouse for weeks on end?
why is it a radical concept for me to say the state run liquor distributor should treat its customers better than it does?

And Esprit...what's with the suggestion I am some porn-a-holic?
why not stick to the facts and explain why the DFH, promised to be in the LCBO stores in July...is still not there?
(oh sorry...I forgot..what the LCBO puts in its publications, is not its fault...it is the fault of everyone else..including you I suppose....and people in Ontario should not be whining, but should be begging the benevolent government to jack up the price of beers..since we are so fortunate they allow us to buy the product).

p.s. Way to win over potential customers of DFH

The DFH is obviously going to sell out, so I call dibs on Buju’s allotment as he is obviously not going to buy “OLD” beer from this corrupt system.

Shucks, I'd been hoping since spring for Labour Day availability.
Ah well, soon enough. Cheers in advance everyone!

That's a good sign. A very good sign!

I actually resorted to drinking straight whiskey last night...all I have in my fridge are 24-proof bombers and I refuse to stock my fridge with anything except for that sweet nectar blessed with the most ambrosial and poetic name "Dogfish."

over one month in the LCBO warehouse...unbelievable...
I know I know...how dare I criticze that nice state monopoly...

well the good news is...it'll be in stores soon and sold out shortly afterwards...ha ha...

I was at the Summerhill LCBO this afternoon and no sign of DFH...
Talked to two employees who were both very polite and apologetic (for those who think I never say anything nice about the LCBO) and they said they had no idea when it was going to get there..or if it was going to arrive.
One guy referred to the booklet and said they've been promising it for a long long time....

the DFH 60 min is now sctive on the LCBO site with a price and product #, at least this is evidence that they do intend on distributing what has been sitting in their warehouse

I'm not sure, but it will certainly make other people look younger, wealthier and more attractive.

DFH is showing in stock at few locations - nothing in the T-dot yet.
