Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar

Post by nickelass »

Some showed up in Ottawa at the LCBO distribution center. Managed to pick up 20 bottles, and left about 40 on the shelf.

Arrggg. I brought one bottle of beer back with me from my NY trip last week and this was it. Now it turns out that there are all sorts of bottles in the LCBO. I guess I'll have to drown my sorrows in a Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar :D

Life could be worse.

This has to be one of the single greatest smelling beers I've ever had. Just awesome. I'm kicking myself for only getting one bottle today. Delicious!

I picked up a few bottles last night at the Liberty Village LCBO (Hanna St.) No stock showing on the website, but as of last night @ 8pm, there were at least 6 more bottles on the shelf - not sure if there were any more in the back. Can't say how many (if any) are there now.

Cooper St. has some. Picked up a case myself today.

Thanks Peter for bringing this in and getting it general listed! :D :D

I love this stuff and hope to see more Rogue available in the future.

I didn't realize this was on the general list. Sweet.

It's not GTA, but there were probably at least 60 bottles in the main Barrie LC. This location normally has everything that the LC offers, all in a walk-in refrigerated room.

it's not general list. it's a fall seasonal. the only rogue which is general list is the dead guy ale.

Confirmed...not a General List but an Autumn seasonal...it took us 15 years to get Dead Guy on the General List...hopefully a second listing won't take as long but I suspect that the LCBO would prefer to offer beers from other U.S. microbreweries before they start handing out second listings to existing breweries...Anchor excepted. Hey, it's a start and if demand for U.S. beers is good, we'll probably have a call each year for permanent additions but they do detract from Ontario micros and there could be some political issues involved. We know our government wants to support the domestic industry and there's nothing wrong with that as long as that industry will go out on a limb and offer interesting products.

I was just in a reverie thinking about Rogue Brutal Bitter! Dead Guy reminds me of the yeast and malt profile.

It's great the USA brewers cover the gaps our own brewers leave until our guys can catch up with a similar range of style & quality. Clearly there us a future for bold Ontario and USA beers in our market.
