Beers to drink during the Superbowl.
Beers to drink during the Superbowl.
Is there a certain beer you drink during the Superbowl, or is it just whatever you have lying around?
Myself..., since the Superbowl seems to be sponsored by the almighty American Budweiser, I plan to be going through a few Budvars so as to at least be drinking some type of "Budweiser" that day.
Your thoughts?...
P.S. And for the hell of it, I thought I'd add a football poll, I don't know how these things work, so if it's broken or something... i dunno..

Mill street organic is certainly a tasty session brew that I'll pick up for guests, and don't mind drinking myself.midlife crisis wrote:Agreed. I always try to take something low in abv so I can drink lots (at a party). Mill Street Organic? I'd go with Stuarts if I hadn't had some sour ones lately. Have taken Arkell in the past. There are very few decent choices at 4% or under when you think about it.
Too bad Grand River isn't just a little closer...

That's pee-ing me off SO badly because when it's 'on' Stuart's Organic Session Ale is one of the finest drinking experiences I've enjoyed. It's truly a brilliant idea for a product.midlife crisis wrote:

And it's so low ABV you barely feel it until you've had 4 or 5.

There's a huge UFC event the night before (St. Pierre vs. Penn) so after I get back from work (around 10) I'm going to be heading to my buddy's house where the Super Bowl/UFC festivities will be going strong. Probably be drinking gin and tonics during the UFC event, but during game day I am thinking Hannenberg Pils and Plowman's Ale.
Looking forward to seeing Kurt Warner get his 2nd (should be 3rd, f-cking cheaters) Super Bowl ring. Steelers may have the "d", but Kurt has the "D", as in "Destiny".

going to my wife parents house with some Mill Race Mild, and London Porter. my father in-law always makes a kick ass super-bowl stew so I always bring some sessionable dark brews. when this tradition started 5 years ago i would always take a 4 pack of guinness but 2 years ago it was 10w30 and last year Iron Duke. looking forward to a growler of the Mill Race this year though.
Actually, they do - and the label/can colours even match the Pittsburgh team colours:JerCraigs wrote:I guess Lakeport doesn't make Steeler Lager any more do they?
