Nickel Brook Marzen

Post by matt7215 »

A marzen is being brewed tonight at 864 Drury Lane in Burlington. 4 types of malt and organic Opal hops will combine to make this firey copper lager. This is a very small one-off batch. Availible sometime in October.

I had a sample of this at the brewery today, very nice hop finish, a very good beer from Nickelbrook.

Do they sell this in bottles at the brewery, or is it key only?

Too bad, this is one brewer I don't get to try enough of, and I tend to be drinking more at home than not these days!

This stuff is fantastic. Reminds me a little of Plowman's Ale and F&M Maple Red. Darker than other Oktoberfests I've had. Drink in quantity if given the chance!

Thanks matty poo! I'm hitting up pepperwoods next weekend, so a stop by the brewery is in order.

OK cool. By the way, what do you mean by "still have"?
