They are my favorite Canadian brewery. Derek's right, both the water and their take on various styles make them totally unique. I used to stop by the brewery about 1x/wk when I would commute into Waterloo from Hamilton.

When I moved to Calgary, I shipped myself a case of Russian Gun and Vlaams Rood so that they would arrive when I did, before the moving truck. I've actually probably given away about half of my Vlaams because when talking with fellow beer geeks in Alberta and unique beers come up, I usually say "dude, you have to taste this beer. It's like nothing you've ever had before".

Now, I still regularily trade for their beers, even though I'd had some of them a hundred times.

My favorite brewery, hands down. And the Plowmans is my favorite beer. Period.

I'm very glad this is my local!

I'm hesitant to try more from them.

I've had the Old Style Lager, which I could barely force myself into finishing. There was just something about the taste I couldn't stomach. So I wasn't too keen on trying anything else from them, but then I had their pumpkin ale, which left so much more to be desired, one of my least favourite pumpkin brews.

Can't say that I'm too confident in this place.

I love their stuff! Every time I'm in the Kitchener/Cambridge area I'll usually pick up 12 bottles.

Probably my favourite beer they made was the Plowman's Anniversary Ale last year. Still have a "golden ticket" somewhere around my house for a growler of Executioner Ale, but I don't think they'll let me cash that in.
