COORS LIGHT® continues to set the cold standard

Post by phirleh »

Did you know that 70 percent of all legal drinking age men put their beer in the freezer?

...and they say the US education system needs a major rehaul.

New Coors Light Two-Stage Activation bottles and cans

Coors is currently developing beer cans that will text message you when they have reached their optimum coldness

In all fairness, if I am drinking a Coors Light I would want it ice cold too. There is no flavour for the cold temperratures to subdue is the beer that 70% of people drink so you might as well have it cold and at least be refreshed!

Here's a couple thoughts.

1. Why waste so much energy developing a can that can text you when you could be developing a decent beer recipe?

2. A can that can text would presumably have it's own IP address. No surprise then that the world is running out of addresses!

I was just kidding about the texting... but I wouldn't put it past them!

My palate has always preferred the flavour of refreshing to cold, but I think this super cold may changet that.

Can these labels be removed and reused? I think I have been drinking my bottles of rochefort 10 too warm, and missing the super cold goodness I could be enjoying.

Cold is second only to Arctic Blue.

Whoa there - Just caught this in the article:
Now on Coors Light bottles and cans, the iconic mountains still turn blue when the beer is cold, and in addition, a new Cold Indicator bar will turn blue at the same time. Then, when the Coors Light temperature is at the peak of refreshment, a second Super Cold Indicator bar turns blue.
All this time I haven't been getting peak refreshment from my beer. :(

Sheesh, and I took the bait. Proves that I'm stupid and you had a plausible premise. :(
