This guy kills me. His last beer review, done on his ultra-cheapo Dominican holiday, might just be his best. The guy practically blows his wad in his pants over pouring a Brahma!
Some of the great quotes you'll hear within;
"I'd rather have an adjunct lager than a pilsner", "You can't make a BAD pilsner" and his absolute classic (repeated about 50 times) "Guys! COME ON guys!"

WOW. I think the only way this can be viewed is as high comedy. The alternative is too sad to consider.Jon Walker wrote:This guy kills me. His last beer review, done on his ultra-cheapo Dominican holiday, might just be his best. The guy practically blows his wad in his pants over pouring a Brahma!

cratez, you have misunderstood entirely... I don't care about Toronto missing it... I care about me missing it! I am interested to know (Peter or anyone who knows), how many pounds of whole hops were included per barrel, a barrel being taken at 36 gallons and the hops leaf hops?
If leaf hops weren't used, then what were the pounds of pellets? You can add about 20% to each pound to make the equivalence roughly in leaf hops.
In the 1800's, the maximum pounds of leaf hops used for a 36 gallon barrel of beer were 7-8. The strongest porters and finest pale ales, especially when exported, sometimes reach that level. While it is true they sometimes used older hops or hops used in a previous brewing, this was not always so especially for the top grades of beer.
So how would this new beer compare to that, the same, much higher, less?

I wonder if these awesome sounding one-offs will ever be readily available to their hometown customers.JerCraigs wrote:cratez, you have misunderstood entirely...
