Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone!

Post by Guybrush »

Thought a beer forum like the BT ought to have a 'Happy St. Patrick's Day' thread!

May the glasses of your preferred stout runneth over, and the sea of green knick-knacks make your head spin, and the joy of the day fill you up until you've reached the pint of no return! Cheers!

Thanks Guy,

Made a kind of 1/2 Irish breakfast before church today - eggs with rashers but the highlight was the potato farl. Tonight we're having shepherd's pie with a bottle of GLB Robust Porter.

I love going to the bar on St. Patrick's Day and hearing all the great folk songs that no one seems to know or care aren't Irish.

Two bars, two bands, and the same small handful of requests for real Irish songs I asked for was met with "never heard of that one".

I actually stopped by The Rhino yesterday for a really quick half pint on my way out of town. People were hilariously drunk at 3 pm ordering Jameson/Baileys shooters.

On the plus side they had (and probably still do) Trou du Diable Irish Stout which was rich and delicious.
