Rye Beers

I was reflecting on local new releases when my eyes fell upon the Cameron's Resurrection, which made me wonder what other beers were out right now with significant rye content, aside from the RPA and the seasonal release Rugporter, of course. Any thoughts?

Beau's Mr Hyde comes to mind. Excellent beer.

I've been home brewing one for years. I love the spicy warmth of the rye. Especially this time of year.

Gananoque Brewing has a rye beer out at the moment that I had on tap in Kingston over the weekend.

Not at the retail level, but Indie Ale House has Rye so Sour on tap right now.

Northwinds' flagship beer is a rye pale ale. Ottawa's Beyond the Pale has a Rye Guy Pale Ale and an Imperial Super Rye.

It's wider-spread than you'd think.

You only added one to the mix, Jordan -- the Beyond the Pale beers were already mentioned -- so I'm sticking with my 'not that many' assessment.

Damnit, I was going to brew a pumpkin rye tomorrow, but now I'll just be part of the crowd

Amsterdam/Iain's Kentucky Common had "a shit tonne" of rye in it, apparently. Also, I believe he used a good amount in the smoked Oktoberfest beer he did. I think he has a rye boner right now...... He also made a killer Rye Baltic Porter for the open of the BrewHouse.

Alrighty, then, they're coming out of the woodwork, for sure. Still not enough in the general sphere to merit a column, IMO -- which of course is why I was asking in the first place -- but sufficient to be deemed a mini-trend, perhaps.

FWIW, I look forward to trying the ones named here that I have yet to come across, ie: the majority of 'em. I quite like a good rye beer, me.
