I wish I had a car and could make it out to Gravenhurst to get a bottle or two of The Blood of Cthulu. Had it at Cask Days and it was fantastic.

Also, Amsterdam's 2014 Tempest is out today. Grabbed a couple bottles from the Brewhouse retail store.

Brewed with a ridiculous a mount of malt and a mixture of raspberries, cranberries and tart cherries it expounds with flavours of rich chocolate and tart, mouth puckering fruit.
Wow, a talking beer that explains itself?

Sounds like a good combination of flavors.

The 2014 version of Bring Out Your Dead, our Imperial Stout aged in cognac barrels (this time for 12 months) has finally awoken from its slumber and bottles are set to hit the retail store on Friday November 7th at 11am. With tons of espresso and dark chocolate flavour, this wise ol' beast is exactly what you want in your life as the snowflakes (and your motivation to leave the house) begin to fall.

8 bottlie limit, $13 a pop.

The last release ran out on Saturday, didn't it? This one is probably more hyped. Did they make more BOYD?

I'm sending my wife over Friday afternoon to get bottles for me, just to be safe

Looks like 2100 bottles like Skeleton Key from the pic of the new bottles....Skeleton Key also came out the weekend of Cask Days when a bunch of people were in from out of town for the event. I'm sure a large number who were in from outside of Toronto for Cask Days also went to Bellwoods to pick up bottles. I'm thinking they will sell out by Sunday afternoon-early evening.

I thought it lasted through most of Sunday, but I could be wrong.

You're probably right. My memory is the worst.

I looked it up, they tweeted on the Monday Morning they were out.

Any idea how many bottles of BOYD there are? There were 2000 for SK.

The photos they posted show a "/2100" on the label just like Skeleton Key:

Same price ($13) and limit (8 bottles) as Skeleton Key as well. I'll be there when they open to get my 8 bottles.

I'm really surpirsed at this limit for such a highly regarded and likely sought after beer. Like 8 is pretty high, I wonder if they cut that to 4 or 2 if it would last a couple of weekends. I would think a brewery would want as many people as possible to try their beer, so lowering the limits makes sense in that regard. Jester king has this down pretty nicely now since nearly all their sought after beers last 2-3 weekends, although I'd be bitching about one bottle limits too. 2-4 seems fair, one for now, one for cellaring, and one for giving.

And Yeah this is brought on by the fact that I will miss the release this weekend and know that I won't be able to grab this come Monday or Tuesday.
