Driving into a disaster-zone Buffalo, you just know that would be the one trip the border wait would be infuriatingly slow for no apparent reason.

More beer for the Buffaleers! Cheers Rudy & co., hope you guys are surviving.

yeh, i've come to realize that, when they go all out, Local Option has one of the best tap lists in North America. just absolutely stupid what they get and put on tap.

Thanks! All is fine here in the Coles/Blue Monk area. The storm hit to the south of us (not far south - just a few miles) and we got less than a foot around here. Don't know that they got much of anything further north around Premier.

FWIW a friend came down from Toronto earlier this week & said it was the quickest border crossing (both ways) that he's ever experienced.

Cool. I'm getting a jones to head down to Elmwood Village again soon, and might be a good time to hit Premier if the store has lots of stock.

Good to hear. I'll be watching carefully, especially seeing as how the BC beers are probably being driven from Chicago, they would have to drive through the rough areas to get to Premier.

Chatted with the premier gourmet Beer Manager yesterday and roads are clear. Couldn't tell me if they had possession but told me to check twitter.

yep, i hope they announce allocations on FB when they "add more details" today so that I can figure out if it's worth going on black friday or just wait to do my usual beer run on a less border crazy day. but if it's something like one four pack of regular and one four pack of bcbw/1-2 bottles of coffee then i'm in. just have to figure out how early to get there!

also, village beer merchant announced that they will have it as well on friday at 11am.

Not sure about BCBS, but KBS showed on the truck THAT day, so I don't think this stuff generally gets there and sits around for several days.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine was in PG yesterday and said they got about 4-5 calls about BC already, so he fully expects an even bigger shit-show than last year.

There was also mention of growler fills ...

Crossing on a black friday is not in the cards for me.

What was the shit show last year? They didn't receive it until like a week later and then just through it on twitter.
