Reports (from a friend, who is friends with the manager) are that LOTS of people sent in extra people to boost their hoard.

As well, lots of people came in asking for "that super rare beer" While Im sure some people couldn't make it at all and sent a single mule, it's still a pile on to limited resources.

Lots of people actually yelling at the manager for "holding bottles" (they weren't) and having limits (whatever)...
^ Glad I missed the stupid. I mean great beer is a good thing, but it's getting so that people only want certain beers so badly because it's the thing to want them badly. Then there's all the indignation, entitlement and proprietariness around who should get what or not. It's disappointing, but oh well...

Whale hunters and this type of behaviour is laughable to me...but tickers and whale hunters be tickers and whale hunters so whaddya gonna do...
Everytime I learn something new I forget something old...like that time I learned to make wine and then forgot how to drive...

Xocoveza - I figured it out.

I could get that on! Stone is freaking amazing. I really think I like their beers more than most people do... from the unbeatable IPA and Ruination to the Anniversary Ales, Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal, Arrogant Bastard and Russian Imperial Stout and excellent Smoked Porter.

that place has all kinds of things, just expect to pay lots.

They had:

Heady Topper $15 a can
Lawsons SOS $25 a bottle
Fiddlehead Mastermind $15 a can
Double Dose $17 a bottle

can only imagine what BCBS sells for there

It takes a lot of gas to drive to Vermont and come back with a trunk full of beer.
