Next week I'm planning to make a pecan porter. I've found a few recipes here or there online, but wanted to get some feedback/suggestions on the recipe. And if anyone has used nuts in their beer and has some tips, those would also be appreciated.
It's going to be a partial extract, and I was planning to either use this recipe and add pecans (http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2011 ... nners.html) or this recipe and substitute extracts for the malt (http://www.homebrewing.com/articles/pecan-porter.php).
Any suggestions on which would be better, or does anyone have a porter recipe that would be easy just to add a pecan step to the boil?
