Legally acquiring kegs

Post by iamatuna »

Hey everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a keg to convert into a keggle?

One problem, I dont want to buy a keg from the Beer Store and use it that way, I was hoping on buying a keg from the place that breweries buy their kegs from?

I have heard of some place up north (west of toronto) that has copious amount of kegs for sale but I dont know where it is?

any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers

Ontario Beers kegs specializes in used soda kegs for dispensing. I don't think they can help with a keggle.

I have heard there is a scrapyard up in Uxbridge area that gets decommissioned 55 l kegs and sells to the public. They are not 'stolen' just simply scrapped once they brewer deemed them too worn out. Others here may know of the place I am referring to.

There was a guy in the Bradford area who did refurbishing of kegs, I got an old German keg from him a few years back, I found him through kijiji. I'll see if I can track his info down.
