17.50 / 5-pack. It has that special, overpriced taste of getting less than you pay for.

I'm half expecting a special bottle that's shaped like a pineapple. $7.50 for 500mL, or perhaps a summer "special" with a $40 mini keg.

In all honesty, I enjoy the beer. Is it one of the best in Ontario? IMO, no. I think I order it more for the novelty, and for the first time, I actually tasted the pineapple today, but it didn't improve the beer, in fact I didn't like it as much as I've had in the past.

Back on topic, I'd like to see a Saison or Lambic, probably wishful thinking. I don't like being a pessimist, but with the LCBO you kinda have to, but it does make it better when you get thrown a surprise in the release.

I'd also like to see a hoppy wheat beer. Is Miami Weiss coming back this year?

Lastly, I'd love to see an OCB* member put out anything "different" in the LCBO rather than get the usual summer imports (Blonde ales mainly, not offensive, but I just don't enjoy them much)

*Trafalgar not included, but who are we kidding, we know they'll have something :(

From what it looks like it will include the following

Schneider Tap X Nelson Sauvin
Brewdog Punk IPA
Schneider Hopfen Weisse
Phillips Ginger Beer
Weinhenstephaner Kristalweisse
Ayinger Brau Weisse
Shipyard Smashed Blueberry
Birrificio Del Ducato Nuova Mattina
Thornbridge Kipling South Pacific Pale Ale

probably more as well but this is all I could find for now.

That is a very meh list.

What a terrible choice for the first ever (I think) proper LCBO release of a Phillips product.

If only this beer showed up, I would be a happy man.

I'm excited to try the Schneider Nelson Sauvin because the only other beer I've had with those hops was excellent, so hopefully this one will match up.

Aside from that, I continue to be amazed at the LCBO's ability to find obscure beers that not many are excited about trying.

So we have two Nelson Sauvin hopped beers, one a pale ale and the other a weizenbock. Then we have Hopfen Weisse. Then we have the #1 ranked kristalweizen on BA. We also have the #7 ranked weissbier, Ayinger. We have a saison from Italy as well.

Meh.

Have you tried the Phillips Ginger? It's a perfect choice for a summer release. Great, refreshing ginger beer.

No I haven't. Spiced/herbed beers are generally not my thing. Neither are fruit/vegrtable beers. It doesn't excite me in the least.
