Liberty Ale in the bottle, at beer bistro. A full-flavoured APA, dry-hopped according to the label. Very fresh and an excellent aperitif, almost vermouth-like, with mineral and restrained malt notes.
It's interesting to ponder that (as far as I know), this is the first ale to feature Cascade hops prominently: Cascade was released for commercial use in 1972. There have probably been a few thousand APA and AIPA brands released since then, but I find they follow the original type (of which Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is one) quite closely in palate, or maybe it's just the taste that gets into those U.S. aroma hops no matter their lineage, terroir in a word.
