Is this allowed by head office or is this simply done by store managers to appease bar owners/restaurateurs.

I understand these guys drive up sales for a location, and a store manager's performance is based on sales. It makes no sense to show lots of availability of a product on the website but only to be told the stuff is hidden in the back and not allowed to be sold to regular folks.

If this was a private enterprise then I have no problems with it. However LCBO is a public service....

just order a case of whatever product it is that you want and when it comes in buy the amount you want and return the rest
