Me and JB84 went to Rochester 2 weeks ago. We were there for 48 hours. We guesstimated 2.5 cases (20 bombers, and a few small bottles and cans). The guy was extremely nice. Both of our birthdays were during that week, and the guy wished us both a happy bday. I like to think that helped, but have no way of knowing.

Didn't ask how much was spent, so that probably saved us. Do not say how much was spent unless asked, and buy some groceries/clothing and lump it all into one total just in case. We did about $350 in beer, and $30 in other stuff. If they ask to see receipts then you may be a bit screwed if your beer receipt is high.

I've learned a lot from this board on the best ways of bringing back beer.

On a side note, we were pre-screened before going into the states. While waiting in line, three border guards walked up to our car and asked the same questions they do at the booth while they searched our car and bags. I didn't see them go to any other cars after, but it made the booth a lot quicker lol.
