Hey folks,
the wife and I are going to see Lightfoot at massey Hall on Saturday---any suggestions for the closest craft brew pub for a pre concert drink and snack would be appreciated.
thanks

LOL --- I should have looked more carefully at a map! We ended up parking at the indoor lot on the Esplanade at Church, eating and pinting at Cest What? and walking all of 10 minutes to Massey. Beerbistro would have been easy too, and Beer Academy was on the way up Victoria even closer to Massey; what a great part of the city---can't wait to return!

Went last night to see Patrick Watson. I go to a lot of concerts, but for some reason, this was my first time at Massey Hall. Quite the spectacular place, with so much history. We ate at the Queen and Beaver (first time there too!)
I think in terms of overall sound, I prefer the new Koerner Hall (I saw him there when he started the tour a year ago) at the Royal Conservatory, but Massey Hall is pretty humbling.

Yeah - I love it when performers in Koerner Hall unplug their amps and perform with a single mic. It's a fantastic warm almost unbelievable sound.jrenihan wrote:Koerner Hall has the best sound in the city, no doubt about that. Massey Hall is a great venue but in terms of acoustics, it cannot compare.
