Good prices there....!
I've only had the Conductor's Ale, which I really enjoyed....I haven't really seen their other beers about so much but will be sure to give them a try.

I biked up there Sat. eve after work and was planning on grabbing a selection of bottles (they had posted on their FB earlier that they had Conductor's, Engine No. 9 Pale Ale, Stationmaster's Stout and Grand Trunk Bitter), but by the time I got there they only had Conductor's and a scant few Engine No. 9 left. There seemed to be a decent supply of growlers as well, but I'm not sure what was in them. The chalkboard/beer menu listed a few new beers on deck, but I forget which ones they were. Maybe the Warrior Pale and a Red Ale or something...? Anyway, they have since posted that they'll be fully restocked on bottles for when the retail store re-opens this Thurs. at 4. The space is very has old train pictures and historic maps of the Junction on the walls. Tasteful decor, nice tunes and understated lighting make the brewery a place you want to hang around for a bit while sipping samples from one of the (6? 8?) taps at the bar. They've done an excellent job there.

On to the beer...

I've always enjoyed the Conductor, but as that's readily available at bars I frequent, I decided to pass on the bottled version and grabbed a handful of the Engine No. 9 Pale Ale. At 4.3%, it is designed as a simple session ale, but it has some nice flavour - grainy, earthy, slightly lemony hops, graham cracker, mid-amber colour, good head retention. This is a quality beer, certainly more Brit than American. Looking forward to trying their other brews, as I have the sense this is sort of what they're going for - kind of the Grand River model of well-crafted, lower ABV beers with flavour. Which is all good with me. I feel like as spring and summer arrive, I'll be heading up that way more frequently.

The bitter came in at 3.4% and the stout was 4%. Both very tasty beers, so the comparison with Grand River seems to be a good one.
