LCBO summer release?

Now that every beer from the spring release has hit stores, any word on the summer release? (when/which beers)

Dominus Vobiscum Saison
Nogne Saison
Howe Sound King Heffy
Cuvee Des Jacobins
Blanche Des Honnelles
Scaldis Blonde Triple

thats all I can remember without going to the "coming soon" thread....probably a typical summer release heavy on wheat/saison/belgian pale/and some janky english bitters. The Summer release is steadily shit for the most part with 3-4 exceptions.

The Summer release is steadily shit

How you mean, like literally bad? Stuff you listed looks great or pretty good. Are you partly saying the Summer Release is always loaded up on predictable stuff - wheaty ales - instead of having some balance?

I for one really enjoy wheat beers - but yes the lack of balance or range of styles that are usually included in the summer release can be frustrating. I was more getting at the fact that the summer release is usually the worst release of the year compared to others, hopefully this one breaks that trend.

Yeah, a release of Saisons and blonds doesn't sound horrible to me. God forbid we don't get a half dozen IPAs and stouts for the summer.

Yeah gotcha, the summer release is historically the most funny collection of choices with far too many 'novelty' beers. Let's hope 2013's better -- and Saisons are a great sign (imagine if they brought us Fantome one summer...)

I had it on draught in Cleveland and it's outstanding. Easily one of the most complex mid-strength Belgians that I've tried. This release sounds pretty good so far.

my head would sexplode. think i have 1 or 2 bottles in my cellar.

as an aside, i'm likely meeting Fantome's brewer in Belgium next month and will make the drive to Soy to visit his brewery.

Terra Firma Brands is the agent for Bockor. We have the Omer and the Kriek Max on consignment and the Cuvee des Jacobins through LCBO retail.

We are also the agents for Abbaye des Rocs, Dubuisson, Bosteels and St Feuillien as well as a few Danish Breweries like Amager and Midtfyns.

We started dealing with Peter from Terra Firma at Castro's sometime last year (maybe? Two years ago?) and I'll just say, if you're a bar owner, get in touch with them. Great beers, great people to do business with.
