At the tail end of a Los Angeles trip and have been doing a little bottle hunting. Tried the DFH 61 yesterday - meh. Also had Mikkeller's Wheat Is The New Hops. I liked it but it came off really unbalanced. Maybe it's just my lack of familiarity with funk. (And on the issue of Brett: I had an Evil Twin Femme Fatale Brett a little while ago which I picked up at Premier Gourmet and it was fantastic - the funk came off as a savouriness that I've never found previously.)
Some of interesting finds out here: a couple of Parabola, three versions of Fifty Fifty Eclipse (2012 red, blue and black wax), RuinTen, The Bruery Bois, a few of Stone's Quingenti Millilitre series (I picked up the 20120 Old Guardian aged in Bourbon Barrels and Ruination aged in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels), Stone/Ballast Point/Kelsey McNair session ale collar, and one that I can't seem to find much about: Cismontane's American Strong Rye Ale, listed at 130 IBUs.
