Has anybody tried the 100 Mile product yet? Gimmick or good?

I'm not sure that "gimmick" or "good" are the only two options here. The hops may be locally grown, but the quality of the beer, regardless of where the hops come from, is up to the brewery/brewer to determine.Tapsucker wrote:http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/Canada/To ... 413124959/

Have not tried, but hardly a gimmick if local hop production is taken seriously. I can see the development of hops that grow really well in our 'terroir' and Ontario signature beers that reflect this... creating new possibilities for brewers who may never have arrived at those results by ordering hops from far away. Farmers and brewers collaborating 'side-by-side', in that sense.

What I meant was, if you have tried it, was the beer good, or is the 100% local sourcing a gimmick in this case? I love the idea and will love it even more if it's a good beer.TheSevenDuffs wrote:I'm not sure that "gimmick" or "good" are the only two options here.
