Broken Glass

Post by detritus »

Hoping you guys can help me out:

I broke one of my favourite beer glasses today - a smallish Cantillon tasting glass I bought at the brewery last year. It looks (edit: looked) something like this:

... to top it off, when I dropped it, it was full of Rodenbach Grand Cru!

Anybody know where I can get a replacement? I figure I won't be able to get a Cantillon labelled one anywhere near here - but maybe the same shape?

Thanks.

How big is it?

I have a set of port glasses that are exactly the same shape. I bought them at the "Kitchen and Glass" store just north of Bloor on the west side of Yonge. Lots and lots of different glasses there.

I think it was either 6 or 8 oz.

This place in Santa Barbara has a boatload of glasses but the Cantillon one that they list is different from the one you are looking for. They might be able to get the one you are looking for if you contact them.

Shipping looks like it is about US$10 so you would probably want to get more than one thing. I haven't ordered from here before so I can't vouch for them.

I'm actually doing real work today if you can believe it, but I like looking at glasses as well. These guys in New Hampshire have this glass in stock:

US$8.00 + US$12.25 shipping...

[edit: just checked the source of your image after I posted and noticed that you are linking to this website so I guess you already know that they have it ]

Yeah, I'd seen that one, but not the other...

Probably won't bother ordering one from the states... who knows how many pieces it would arrive in. I'd be happy to get something of a similar shape/size locally, without the logo.

The port glasses I have are the same shape, but I doubt they're more than 4 oz. Still, look at the place I mentioned before you order away for something.
