Hamilton Beer Festival this summer

A beer fest has been announced for Hamilton. August 8 & 9 in Gage Park.

There's a www site up --> hamontbeerfest.com <--- but no details. Tweets indicate info is on the way.

I'm sure that news from the organizers posted here on BT would be welcomed.

Huh. Just clicked through, and the site no longer lists a venue, and has no specific dates, just "August 2014".

Organizers jumped the gun, perhaps?

I contacted them when I saw the dates, and pointed out that Festival of Friends was the same weekend. They didn't know this, and were looking into a change of dates . :roll:

I doubt this beerfest will happen at all. The Because Beer Fest is the real deal.

The HamOntBeerFest is being led by the company that brews bamboo beer, as far as I have figured out. The HamBeerFestival is registered to a marketing company, iirc.

Because Beer came out of stealth mode with a fully formed plan. No half-assed stuff.
