I can understand why Ramblin' Road makes a potato beer. They've got a potato chip factory and the extra starch works as a fermentable material. It's green and eco friendly.

I don't know why the hell you'd do it if you didn't have a potato processing plant.

Could be just be I got great samples, but IMO Black Creek had some damn nice brews when I tried 5-6 of them. I would certainly apply 'muddled' to Trafalgar, Heritage... Black Creek actually gives me hope compared to many.

Now I'm not saying "The Ontario" doesn't show a bit in the retro ale styles and the boring-as-death historical labels. Just thought the brews were surprisingly solid.

To be fair I have had some good Black Creek Products, especially growler fills from the brewery, but the Montgomery's Courage and Pumpkin beer were the last two I picked up from the LCBO and neither struck me as being good exemplars of their respective styles

It's an Ontario-style Amber, not American :) Was previously available as a 6 pack too

Big Rock recently relaunched their line-up in new packaging and slightly smaller bottles - from 355 to 330. The new listings with N/A price seem to be for the new packages, so I guess they'll be arriving here soon.

Indeed! I was expecting something in the $2.75-$2.95 range.

+1 to support this outstanding canadian IPA. We couldn't have imagined this seven years ago.

I wouldn't rush out for it. It's pretty darn dull.
