They'll be making much better products than Stratford Pilsner, that's for sure.

Understandable, but having tried the pilot batches I can say with 100% certainty that it will be light years better.liamt07 wrote:I'll believe it when I taste it!Ale's What Cures Ya wrote:http://www.stratfordbeaconherald.com/20 ... brewing-co

Stratford might be turning into less of a beer wasteland with these guys opening up and a 53 tap bar with a rooftop patio set to open in the next few months as well.

No argument it will be better than the Pilsner, but I always feel the need to defend the Stratford Common...somehow it comes out pretty well...if you can find it. Pazzo is the place I find it in StartfordAle's What Cures Ya wrote: They'll be making much better products than Stratford Pilsner, that's for sure.

It's a mainstay at Ronnie's in Kensington.NRman wrote:No argument it will be better than the Pilsner, but I always feel the need to defend the Stratford Common...somehow it comes out pretty well...if you can find it. The Stratford Common is a decent brew, but it's still not something I'd go out of my way to get.NRman wrote:

The new bar is right downtown, a place called Backstage currently. Used to be Othello's and before that Falstaff's.
The word is the bar will be on the first floor with 53 taps, a steakhouse will be on the second floor, and then the roof will be a 60 seat patio.
They're apparently dedicated to staying away from the "big guys", although I do believe Sleeman will be there.
Hopefully most of the taps get dedicated to legit craft options.
