Amsterdam Framboise

Post by cheechonaleash »

I was wondering if anyone has had this year's Framboise. I saw it on the shelf at my local and and was intrigued but passed because there was no price tag. Next time I was in I saw they were asking $11 for a bomber! Hell, Tempest was only $6 or $7. Is it worth the $11 price tag?

The Framboise was a beer that would've been good 5-7 years ago. In the current day and age (and craft scene), it's so far behind some of the other options (in the fruit beer category), it's almost laughable. Especially at $11 a pop.

esp with the other raspberry beer amsterdam put out.

the only reason for the cost? raspberries aren't cheap. but i wonder how much actual raspberry's used in the brew?

That's an expensive 650ml. It's a great, special beer on tap or if you can still get it at the brewery *in regular 355 ml bottles (edit-looks like that deal is no more.) it is dry and full of natural ripe red berry flavor, from whole raspberries and no sweeteners. Better than KLB.
