Also some things - I think probably more males than women buy beer (so shoot me) and I think often men are the ones buying the alcohol generally (dodges another bullet) and in those or all cases fewer people mind a pretty girl on the label. I will also say (non-judgmentally) that so much as men may 'objectify' women physically, women may do the same to some extent men about other things such as career, lifestyle, income and social status. Men are biologically more visually oriented in their mate selection than are women (who can be much sharper at detecting inner qualities) and I believe women must know their visual appeal and so to speak 'use' this (entire industries are dedicated to it.) So in all these differences, yes we're equal but not the same. There are a lot of pretty women on beer labels. But there are a LOT of differences in men and women that make the 'even-Steven' paradigm of advertising kind of silly and simple-minded. It's (usually) not sexualized descrimination manifest in beer labels, it's entrenched human mating behavior that on some level most people already 'get.' And while I think it's never cool to just make women feel bad or less respected in the world, it is still great to celebrate the all-round beautiful creatures they are (I know many of them appreciate this.)
