Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!
one of my favourite reviews of all time happens to be for black... scroll to the bottom of this page and read the review by kkipple (khiasmus's is pretty good too, just above it): http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profil ... &start=400
not sure if it's changed over the years or if it still tastes like "If your brewery caught fire and burnt to the ground, and you sat in the ashes and mingled your tears with the decimated fruits of your labor, then drank the resulting sorrow-laden tincture", but interested to read everyone else's reviews!
I like this listing as it is almost all brews I have not tried yet.
Spent a night at Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen a while back...skipped over the black (had it before and learned my lesson from ordering a Struise Double Black - 26% in Antwerp).
I've had the black before and thought it was intense but very good...not crazy burnt, etc like some of those reviews.
I'm curious as well. Around Wednesday last week the Liberty Village LCBO had spots reserved on one of their end cap displays for some of them but they never put them out. Checked back today and they'd been replaced with some of the fall releases.

Cheers,
Welp my optimism has faded
Why are brewery features announced before the beer is even tested?
