Magnotta Wunder Weisse

Post by midlife crisis »

As others may have learned at Fort York, Magnotta is now bottling the Wunder Weisse. So far it's available only at the brewery outlet at 400 and 7, I was told. Great news!

So they scooped Michael in being the first Ontario weizen in bottles...I've waited for Denison's in bottles for over a year, have to get to the Magnotta store for a supply of WW to take to the cottage patio.

I am excited.
I enjoy all of their beers that I have tried, and it will be great to try my favourite style by a great ontario brewer.

Wasn't denissons coning to bottles?

I picked up three six packs today at the Magnotta store up in Vaughan. $11.95 each. They've also got a nice tall beer glass branded with the Wunder Weisse name and logo on it for $3.50.

BBQ lunch today. (Impatiently looking at watch...)

Then there's the BBQ dinner. St. Lawrence Market seafood and beef. Yum.

:D :D :D

I don't want to speak for Michael, but I think bottling is sort of permanently on his radar. Not sure what progress he has made so far, but getting Weissbeer brewed and out to licensees is probably keeping him quite busy as it is.

You can also find it at the LCBO! Picked up a six pack at the Cooper St. store on Saturday.

Ah most excellent! That saves having to go all the way up to Vaughan. Bleah!

So I had numerous bottles over the weekend. Prior to this I've only had the Wunder Weisse twice on tap with the second time last year some time. My mind has gotten a little hazy now (maybe it's from all that Denison's seeping into my blood, staying there and clouding my mind :P ) but I remember the WW being cloudy. The bottle version pours pretty clear. Is that a change that's required for the bottled version or am I mistaken about the cloudiness with the tap version?

Regardless Denison's still reins supreme. Yum! 8)
