Question Re: Arcadia London Porter

I quite like this porter, but I'm just wondering about that tiny bit of smoke malt - is it there to kind of mimic what the roast might have tasted like a couple hundred years ago?

Jeff, yes, I think so. I thought this was a bit dull frankly, not enough malt richness. I intend to blend it with a rich Impy stout.

Thanks Gary...figured you'd answer first. Interesting...I found it quite malty and rich if not on the sweet side. My one quibble is the mouth feel with the soft carbonation...but I quite like it. I thin it would stand up to one of your black is a blends.
