Yah, I think Tankhouse is the closest parallel. Look at some old Bar Towel threads about Tankhouse versus the current opinion. And look at the places where you can get a pint (like faux-Irish pubs).TheSevenDuffs wrote:Honestly, this is probably unfair to Sam Adams, but our closest example is probably Mill Street.midlife crisis wrote:I was trying to think, what would be the Ontario equivalent? Creemore? The problem there is the ownership by Molson. Creemore pre-takeover might be a rough parallel. Steamwhistle? Too bland, but maybe. I settled on Beau's Lugtread, as an example of a perfectly good beer, becoming ubiquitous, that the cognescenti love to hate.matt7215 wrote:having a Boston Lager right now, its really lovely

The Millenial superiority and condescension just oozes out of every word, doesn't it? Quite the read!TheSevenDuffs wrote:That was great! Thanks for posting!PeenSteen wrote:http://dontdrinkbeer.com/2015/01/05/bre ... hobo-lord/
Although I've had excellent Tankhouse, and pints that were not all I had hoped. Sam Adams Lager is always good and always the same.groulxsome wrote:Yah, I think Tankhouse is the closest parallel. Creemore IS closer in parallel, actually I like a number of Creemore brews as well.

The attitude coming out of both sides of the "debate" reeks pretty strongly of "You don't like what I like, so you're wrong."midlife crisis wrote:The Millenial superiority and condescension just oozes out of every word, doesn't it? Miller Genuine Draught. It's actually tolerable, meaning there's not even anything to complain about.shintriad wrote:So if craft beer drinkers are so hip, why is it that I've only seen stereotypical "hipsters" swilling cheap retro brew like PBR and Labatt 50? Is there a beer out there that's completely unhip?
