Would have been nice to see this at the same price point as Canuck.

I'll try it. It's got to be better than the Maple Bacon which was horrid.
Way to set the bar! :D but keep us (and a next of kin) posted.
Picked this up today at the King & Spadina LCBO.

First off, light years better than the Maple Bacon Doughnut. No contest, hands down. Second, is it worth paying $11? No. But if you want to have it for the novelty factor then split the cost with someone.

The raspberry flavour is the most noticeable but it's not over the top like a framboise or KLB. The chocolate is there but not prominent. I'm not sure where the pretzel comes in. It's probably too cold at the moment.

Unless you absolutely hate fruit related gimmicky beers I think the worst you'll have to say about this is "Meh."

Damning with faint praise indeed.

I have one from last year. Really ought to drink that thing, but I couldn't bring myself to the inevitable disappointment.

Has anyone tried it yet? Someone on RB described it as a quad

Don't know about the quad part but I'm sure "barreling aroma" just means the aroma comes right at you. ;)

I had one last year. I'm not planning on getting another this year. I honestly can't remember much about it other than I wasn't blown away. I think it was very boozy and there was a lot of barrel, but don't quote me on that. It definitely wasn't a Quad.

I don't remember it being boozy at all and the barrel was well integrated into the barleywine.

I didn't care for this year's as much. I had one from the brewery back in November/December.
