Boycott canned beer

Post by Tapsucker »

Here is something I had not heard about.

I'm surprised one supplier can have such market share. I wonder how you can tell which brewers buy from them, or more importantly, don't.
Brands are for cattle.
Fans are cash cows.
The herd will consume until consumed.

That strike is now 17 months in. That action is doomed no matter what you do.

Interesting discussion on twitter...seems "some" Ontario craft beers use these cans, but most do not.

Of course....if you really give a crap about this, then you need to ask where these can producers are getting their raw materials to make aluminum cans. Are they coming from bauxite mines in India, Guyana, Indonesia, Guinea, China, Jamaica or Fiji? Are those mines at the top of the controversy chain or are they sustainable / responsible operations....

I drive by there whenever I go to Camcarb for CO2. I had been wondering why the strike was lasting so long. They have a whole shanty town set up...
