Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Suggest a family-friendly lunch place around Bell-TIFF ...
Heading to digiPlaySpace with the wife and kid tomorrow and wanted to grab lunch somewhere decent and kid-friendly that might have a tap or three.
I know barHop is basically right there, but something tells me that's not going to work with a child. Is amsterdam's brewhouse worth checking out? Suggestions?
Thanks

I often go to Canteen on the main floor of TIFF before Jays games. Three taps (Organic, Muskoka Weiss and Honkers Ale according to the website) and Detour, Mad Tom and Augusta in bottle or can. The food's been consistently good.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Do you have experience otherwise? By all means, share. My daughter is a fairly good traveller and we bring her anywhere we think she will be welcome.
I've been there once, and it was pretty packed, so my experience may not be applicable for lunchtime (though I also recall it being a bit dingy in general, and the washrooms inconvenient and a bit sketchy).Craig wrote:Why wouldn't Barhop work for a kid?

I'd say of the ones mentioned already...in order of preference for satisfying the entire family of eaters and drinkers...Loose Moose, WVRST, Bar Hop, Canteen.
I dont really consider the menus of Canteen or Bar Hop very kid-friendly compared to the other two. At least I know my niece and nephew wouldn't be happy at those two spots.

Awesome, good to know the ranking. I think we are going to the Amsterdam brewhouse after all, but it's good to know you all feel that bar hop is doable for lunch, and I hadn't even thought of wvrst.El Pinguino wrote:I'd say of the ones mentioned already...in order of preference for satisfying the entire family of eaters and drinkers...Loose Moose, WVRST, Bar Hop, Canteen.
