C'est What Spring Festival - May 22nd

11th Annual Spring Beer Festival
Friday May 22, 5 PM to Midnight
Our 37th beer festival is staying close to home by featuring only those brewing within a one hundred minute commute of C'est What. A couple dozen brewers will be showing off their latest and greatest creations. There will be 48 choices in all, including 14 cask offerings. As usual, there is no admission charge and most samples will cost you a loonie.

And I heard this was just dropped off by the "shifty" New Trafalgar folks :

Trafalgar "Shifter IPA" (possibly first beer Ontario craft beer brewed with both these new hop varietals - no citrus!)
6.5% ABV.
Jarrylo hops (with banana, pear, orange, and fruity spice)
Nelson Sauvin (NZ) hops (White wine, gooseberries, tropical fruit, passion fruit)
Estimated bitterness is 78 IBUs
Flavours are full of tropical fruit against layered malt complexity! IPA that's a bit different, like Trafalgar.

Hopfully it won't be a "Sh!tty IPA"!! Judge fairly now without digging up past crimes.

Had the Trafalgar IPA last night and I was pretty impressed to be honest. I love my IPAs and fruity ones aren't uncommon but this was different. The tropical fruity flavour was apparent but not so overpowering as to make it feel like you're drinking a fruit beer.

Yeah... I found it was really easy drinking too with no cloying bitterness. Drinkability is key wrt IPA style. Kinda getting bored of the "everything citra" IPAs, so this was a nice change.
