I finally got to try the Smuttynose Finest Kind. It's in stock in the Dufferin Mall Beer Store for those of you brave enough to venture there.

Being an IPA and "only" 7% is it something that can be cellared? if so, what would be the "best before date"?

The hops will drop out of anything you cellar, regardless of the ABV. If there's a lot of body there, you might find that develops and changes over time, but after a while you won't have an IPA any more.

Noted, thanks
I'll drink the 2 I bought yesterday, and if I like it, hope the lcbo keeps the listing.

Stone Coffee Milk Stout
LCBO#: 443960 | 6 x 355 mL bottle
$17.25
Probably, but still less per bottle than the Duvel Triple hop 4-pack.
I wouldn't even think twice about the price of this years Duvel triple hop. It's fantastic and much better than last years hop profile.
I was drinking some of this in Aruba a couple of weeks ago. It was $24US for a 4 pack :o Still worth it!

Both Stone Coffee Milk Stout and Smoked Porter at Summerhill. No expiry on the stout despite the label, but it was bottled Oct 24. Porter bottled Oct 1, enjoy by Jun 16.

Drinking a fat tug picked up earlier today. It's a tasty brew, no question, although I think I may have been expecting more. The head retention on it is unlike pretty much any IPA I've had. Pretty much a steal at 6$ for 650ml

Picked up a third bottle today, after finishing the first two a few days ago. I was shopping at the LCBO earlier and there was only a single, lonely bottle left on the shelf. I couldn't resist! Mostly because I have no idea if this stuff will be back again any time soon (if ever).

It lives up to the hype for me. Beats the pants off nearly all of the (widely-distributed) Ontario-made alternatives, which puts it on par with the better GLB Tank Ten IPAs IMO.

I quite enjoyed Fat Tug but I think I still prefer Headstock and Lone Pine a little more, especially at their lower price points.

I quite like Fat Tug, but when I visited Driftwood last year it was neither my 1st or 2nd favourite beer they had on tap.
Still great, but....I'm not racing out to the LCBO to buy it.
