My understanding is that we get the listing through the LCBO (hence the product number) then we can sell it to whatever grocery store/chain wants to carry it.spinrsx wrote:When you say "just for grocery" - do you mean just certain grocery stores, or certain areas.. or both?
MatttthewGeorge wrote:Our bock is definitely just for grocery, so many of these might be as well. No way to tell right now I guess.
Looking for the original Bar Towel blog? You can find it at www.thebartowel.com.

Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I used to sell beer. Now I don't.
Wonder if grocery stores receive a list of these 'grocery only' beers to order from. I haven't bought a single beer from a grocery store yet because it's all the same stuff that the lcbo has. Exclusive beers might lure me in..
The way it's set up so far is that grocery stores are just added points of distribution for the LCBO. That may change... but not in the immediate cards.

LCBO releases price lists online weekly I believe, so that's probably where. See here: http://www.doingbusinesswithlcbo.com/tr ... list.shtmlWinter is Coming wrote: I'm just curious, where do you get the heads up on these releases? Spin doesn't work for the LCBO. He's just all up in their shit.TheSevenDuffs wrote:I am pretty sure that he is an LCBO employee.Winter is Coming wrote:

We do have a guy here who's an employee who sometimes shows up and gives us lists of stuff that is coming in the distant future. Which is pretty cool.

My LCBO just got another shipment of fat tug, are they still selling bottles from October or is there fresher stock?
To my knowledge, this will be a regular. So I would assume this is now a 3rd new batch.Masterplan wrote:My LCBO just got another shipment of fat tug, are they still selling bottles from October or is there fresher stock?
It is a regular listing, but I've never seen anything other than the October batch. I drank an October bottle a few nights ago, still fantastic.
Saw this at the lcbo last night..

That offensively-named beer has no place on the LCBO's shelves. I'm going to write a letter to my congressman.
